Bud Barnes is self-taught and did very little drawing until he retired in 2005. He prefers graphite because of the detail and mood it can convey, especially in western art, but also works in colored pencil, and pastel. Most of his work reflects family and friends, ranching and his life growing up in Wyoming. He also makes award winning log cabin miniatures. They are detailed works of art that take many hours to complete. Bud now lives in Port Orchard, Washington with his wife Haruko.more
